Designed to facilitate and support the transition from childhood to
youth, this program gives eighth and ninth graders a chance to learn
about themselves and their faith and belief system, to make new friends,
to develop a relationship with an adult mentor and to have fun!
Coming of Age provides opportunities for friendship and structured
experiences that help children make decisions about how they want to
grow up. It’s a chance for them to explore their talents and gifts,
their core beliefs, and their strengths and weaknesses. Activities may
include camping, taking a trip, or attending special events. Coming of
Age will be offered for the church school year of 2008/09. This year,
eighth and ninth
graders are doing the Our Whole Lives (OWL) Program. Coming of Age and
OWL are run in alternate years.
