Church Committees

Of these church committees which you can join, volunteering your time and talents, some are open only to church members, but most are open to friends as well.

We try to “practice what we preach” with opportunities for spiritual growth, finding your own truth, serving the community, taking action in the world, and reaching out widely to other groups who we feel share our vision, as well as supporting each other as a church family.

Church Council – Moderator: Marcia Johnson, governing body for the Church 3rd Tuesday 7:00 p.m.

Executive Committee – Chairperson: Marcia Johnson, oversees all additional council issues as needed

Religious Education – Chairperson: Mary Robinson, oversees and directs RE Program, 2nd Tuesday 7:00 p.m.

Worship/Music – Chairperson: Carol Alfus, oversees and directs worship, meeting scheduled as needed

Endowment – Chairperson: Randy Meyer, oversees endowment fund, meeting held as needed

Building – Chairperson: Dave Dreyer, manages Church building

Long Range Planning – Chairperson: Scott Brix, meets when long-term planning issues present themselves

Nominating Committee – Chairperson: Tom Tipton, nominates for Annual Elections

Committee on Ministry – Chairperson: Tom Skiba, oversees Minister, meets as needed

Peace and Justice Committee – Chairperson: Ray Eberhardt, coordinates community service & social justice programs

Member Care Committee – Chairperson: Meg Hromyak, integrates & involves members in the work of the Church

Fundraising Committee – plans fundraising activities
